Who are Fetch & Form?

Fetch & Form is a family-run business created by dog people, for dog people. At the heart of it all is Darcie, our 13-year-old Bull Arab and the quiet inspiration behind everything we make.

Dogs are our forever friends. They grow with us, shape our routines, and leave an imprint on our lives that never really fades. Fetch & Form was created as a way to honour that bond through considered, beautifully crafted pieces that feel intentional in a home.

Every bust is printed to order in our Brisbane studio and finished with care. Whether you’re celebrating a dog who’s still very much by your side or remembering one who will always be part of your story, our pieces are designed to hold meaning, not just shape.

All busts are printed and finished in Brisbane, Australia, and shipped Australia wide.

Are your dog busts designed in Australia?

Some designs are created in-house in our Brisbane studio, while others are sourced from expert digital designers worldwide when access to a specific breed or style requires it. All designs are carefully selected, refined, printed, and finished by us in Brisbane to meet our quality standards.

What makes Fetch & Form different from other dog gifts?

Our pieces are made to feel considered and timeless. We focus on breed selection, clean silhouettes, premium finishes, and careful presentation so your bust looks intentional in a home, not like a novelty item.

Are your products suitable as keepsakes or memorial pieces?

Yes. Many customers choose a bust to honour a dog they love or to celebrate a dog who is still very much by their side. If you’re ordering as a memorial, we recommend choosing a size and finish that feels most “them” and will suit the space you plan to display it.

Choosing the Right Breed

How do I choose the correct breed for my dog?

Start with the closest breed match, then compare key features like head shape, muzzle length, ear set, and coat style. If your dog is a mix, choose the breed that best captures their overall face and expression.

What if my dog is a mix or crossbreed?

That’s very common. Choose the breed that most closely matches their head shape and ears. If you want a second opinion, send us a photo and we’ll suggest the closest option from our range.

What if my dog looks different from the standard breed?

Dogs within the same breed can vary a lot. Treat the bust as a stylised representation rather than a perfect replica, and choose the design that feels most like your dog at a glance.

Do you offer multiple versions of the same breed?

For some breeds, yes. If a breed has multiple versions, you’ll see each option listed separately so you can choose the one that fits your dog best.

Can you help me decide which breed looks most like my dog?

Yes. Send a clear front on photo (and a side profile if you have it) and tell us your dog’s mix, if known. We’ll point you to the closest match in our store.

Sizes & Dimensions

What sizes are available?

Each product page shows the available size options for that breed. We generally offer 8cm, 15cm (our most popular size), 20cm, and a premium 25cm option. If a size is not listed for a specific design, it is not currently offered for that breed.

How do I choose the right size bust?

Choose based on where it will live. Smaller sizes suit desks, shelves, and gifts, while larger sizes make a statement on consoles and sideboards. If you want maximum detail, go up a size.

What is the most popular size?

Most customers choose a mid sized option for the best balance of presence and detail, especially for gifting and living room displays.

Are the sizes true to scale across all breeds?

Sizes are consistent within each product listing, but breed shapes can make some busts appear wider or taller than others at the same size. The product images and size guide are the best reference.

Do smaller sizes lose detail?

Smaller sizes can soften fine features due to scale. If detail is your priority, choosing a larger size or a finish that enhances texture will give the strongest result.

Every bust is made to order, and depending on the colour or filament finish selected, small variations or organic surface texture may be visible. For example, our Maplewood finish contains approximately 15–20% real wood fibres, which can reveal a more natural grain and texture.

These characteristics are part of the material and printing process, and no two busts are identical.

Is the 8cm size suitable as a gift?

Yes. The 8cm size is a popular gifting option and looks great on desks, shelves, and small display spaces.

Colours & Finishes

What colours and finishes are available?

Available colours and finishes are shown on each product page. Some breeds and sizes have a broader range than others depending on the best match for detail and finish quality. You can also view our full Size & Finish Guide for detailed comparisons and guidance.

Will the colour look exactly like the photos?

We photograph our products as accurately as possible, but lighting conditions and screen settings can affect how colours appear. Marble and specialty finishes may also vary slightly from print to print, which is part of the material’s natural character.

Finishes such as Maplewood contain real wood fibres, meaning colour, grain, and surface texture can vary subtly between pieces. These organic variations are expected, and no two busts are identical.

Are the finishes painted or printed?

All busts are 3D printed, not painted. Most finishes are achieved entirely through the filament itself.

Empire Bronze is a specialty finish. Each bust is printed in a deep black base, then hand-finished with an antique gold wax to accentuate form, shadow, and detail. This artisan process is inspired by classical sculpture and brings depth and character to every piece.

Because Empire Bronze is finished by hand, subtle variations are part of its character. Each bust is slightly different, making it a striking centrepiece or a deeply meaningful memorial tribute.

Do different colours affect detail or texture?

Yes. Darker tones can emphasise silhouettes, while lighter or marble tones can highlight surface texture. If you’re unsure, choose the finish that best suits your space and the style you prefer.

Can I mix colours or finishes on one bust?

At this stage, busts are offered in the finishes listed on the product page. If multi finish options are introduced for a product, they will be selectable there.

Personalisation

Can I add a personalised nameplate?

Yes. If a nameplate is available for your selection, you can add it on the product page before adding to cart. The nameplate price will be listed when adding to card.

The font used on nameplates is selected for consistency in sizing, legibility, and overall presentation across all busts. At this time, font selection is not an option, ensuring each piece maintains a clean and considered finish.

How many characters fit on a nameplate?

Nameplates support up to 10 characters.

Where is the nameplate placed?

Nameplates are placed on the front base area where they look balanced and intentional. Placement can vary slightly by breed shape to suit the design.

Can I preview the nameplate before ordering?

Not at this time. To ensure the cleanest finish, we format the nameplate to suit the character limit and the selected size. If your name is close to the limit, keep it short for the most premium look.

Can I order a bust without a nameplate?

Of course! Nameplates are optional unless otherwise stated on the product page.

Ordering & Checkout

How do I place an order?

Select your breed, size, and finish on the product page, then add to cart and checkout. If a nameplate option is available, you’ll be prompted to enter the name before adding to cart.

Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?

Because each piece is made to order, changes are only possible before printing begins. Contact us as soon as possible with your order number and we’ll do our best to help.

Can I order multiple busts at once?

Yes. Add each selection to your cart, then checkout normally. If you’re ordering for a group gift or event, contact us and we can guide you on the best way to place the order.

Do you offer gift notes or gift wrapping?

We focus on clean, premium presentation. Gift options may be offered during seasonal periods. If you’re sending directly to a recipient, add a note at checkout and we’ll include it when possible.

Can I order a bust as a surprise gift?

Yes. Many customers ship directly to the recipient. If you want to keep it discreet, ensure the shipping address is correct and include any delivery notes at checkout.

Production & Materials

How are the busts made?

Each bust is made to order in our in-house studio in Brisbane using cutting-edge Bambu Labs 3D printers. Every piece is carefully printed, finished, and quality checked before shipping.

Print time varies depending on the size, breed design, and selected finish.

What materials do you use?

We primarily use high quality PLA-based filaments, chosen for their ability to capture fine detail, durability for display, and consistent finish quality.

PLA is a plant-based material derived from renewable resources such as corn starch or sugarcane. Compared to many traditional plastics, it is produced with a lower environmental impact and is widely regarded as one of the more eco-conscious materials available for 3D printing.

Different finishes may include specialty blends, such as marble or wood-infused filaments, which can introduce natural texture and variation. Material and finish options are always listed on each product page.

Are the busts hollow or solid?

Our busts are not hollow. Each piece is printed with an internal structure designed to provide strength, stability, and durability while keeping the overall weight appropriate for display and shipping.

The internal structure may vary slightly depending on the size and design, but every bust is built to feel substantial and well-balanced.

Are they fragile?

The busts are strong and designed for long-term indoor display. However, fine detailed areas such as ears and sharper features will not tolerate impacts or drops and should be handled with care.

We recommend keeping busts out of direct sunlight and away from excessive heat or prolonged UV exposure, as this can affect colour and material stability over time.

Are they suitable for handling by children?

They are display pieces, not toys. Gentle handling is fine, but we recommend placing them out of high traffic areas and supervising younger children.

Are they safe to display around pets?

Yes for display, but we recommend keeping them out of reach if your dog likes to chew or knock items over.

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes. We offer free standard shipping Australia wide. Express shipping is available at checkout for an additional fee.

How long does production take?

Every bust is made to order in our Brisbane studio. Production typically takes between 3–10 business days prior to dispatch, depending on the size, finish selected, and current order volume.

During peak periods or for larger and premium finishes, production may take slightly longer. Once your order has been completed and dispatched, you will receive shipping confirmation and tracking details by email.

How long does shipping take?

Delivery time depends on your location and the shipping service selected at checkout. Tracking is provided once your order ships.

Do you offer express shipping?

Yes. Express shipping can be selected at checkout where available.

Will I receive tracking information?

Yes. You’ll receive a tracking link by email once your order has shipped.

What happens if my order arrives damaged?

Care & Display

How should I care for my bust?

To keep your bust looking its best, clean gently using a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or soaking, as these can damage the surface and finish.

We recommend displaying your bust indoors, away from direct sunlight, prolonged UV exposure, and heat sources. Position it on a stable surface where it is unlikely to be bumped, knocked, or accessed by pets or dogs.

Depending on the finish selected, a clear protective sealant may have been applied to help preserve the surface. Occasionally, a mild odour may be noticeable on delivery. This is temporary and will dissipate naturally if the bust is left in a well-ventilated area for approximately 24 hours.

If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with clear photos of the item and packaging. We’ll assess the issue and work with you on the best resolution.

Can the bust be displayed outdoors?

We recommend indoor display. Outdoor heat and sun exposure can affect 3D printed materials over time.

Will sunlight affect the colour over time?

Prolonged direct sunlight may distort, fade or change some finishes. For best longevity, keep your bust out of harsh direct sun.

How do I clean the bust?

To keep your bust looking its best, clean gently using a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or soaking, as these can damage the surface and finish.

Are display boxes available?

Display box options may be offered for certain sizes. If available for your selection, you’ll see it on the product page as an add on.

Memorial & Keepsake Questions

Are these suitable as memorial pieces?

Yes. Many customers choose a bust as a gentle way to keep a dog close, especially when paired with a nameplate.

Do you offer memorial or ashes storage busts?

We’re developing memorial focused designs, but they are not currently available as a standard product. When they launch, they will be clearly listed on the website.

Can the bust hold ashes?

Standard busts are not designed for ashes storage. If ashes storage options become available in future, they will be offered as a dedicated product with clear instructions.

Are memorial options available yet?

Not yet. If you’d like to be notified when memorial designs are released, join The Den on our website.

Will memorial designs look different from standard busts?

We are currently developing multiple memorial design variants. These designs may differ in form, presentation, or overall aesthetic from our standard busts, depending on the final concept and intended purpose.

Any memorial designs released will be shown clearly on the product page, including how they compare visually to our standard busts, so you can make an informed choice.

Custom & Future Products

Do you offer fully custom dog busts?

At the moment, we don’t offer fully custom designs due to the number of images and angles needed to truly and accurately recreate a dog in digital form. This service is in the works though, and we hope to offer it in the coming months once we've perfected the process. We’re also developing memorial busts to hold ashes, which will be a truly special way to honor their memory. We have a gorgeous Bull Arab who’s 13 years old, so getting both the custom and memorial options right is something very close to our heart. Please follow our socials and sign up to The Den on our website so you’ll be among the first to know when these services launch.

Can I order a bust from my dog’s photos?

We don’t currently offer photo-based custom modelling. This service is in the design and development phase, and we hope to offer it in the near future once the process meets our quality standards.

In the meantime, if you’d like help choosing the closest match from our existing range, you’re welcome to send us a photo and we’ll guide you toward the best option.

Will you offer full body statues?

We’re exploring new formats and variations. If and when full body designs are released, they’ll be listed on the website and announced on our socials.

Will you release new breeds or designs?

Yes. We add new breeds and variations as we expand the range. The best way to stay updated is to join The Den and follow our socials.

Can I request a breed to be added?

Yes. Send us your request and we’ll add it to our wishlist. If we’re able to source or release that breed in future, we’ll announce it.

Gifting & Occasions

Are these suitable as gifts?

Yes. They’re a thoughtful gift for dog lovers, birthdays, housewarmings, and memorial moments. A nameplate can add a personal touch, but it’s not required.

What occasions are they popular for?

Common occasions include birthdays, Christmas, new puppy celebrations, moving into a new home, “just because” gifts, and remembrance pieces.

Can I ship directly to the recipient?

Yes. Enter the recipient’s shipping address at checkout. If you want to include a note, add it in the order notes and we’ll include it when possible.

Do you include pricing on the package?

We don’t include pricing on the outside of parcels. Any invoices are sent by email.

Can I buy a gift card?

Yes. We offer eGift cards only, which can be purchased directly through our website. They are delivered digitally and are a great option if you’re unsure which breed, size, or finish to choose.
